The Airport City Developers Network was founded by Peter de Leeuw in 2022, as an element of his development of the Vienna Airport City 2014-2026. It is a network of cross-disciplinary experts in real estate, urban planning, business development, and operations, all dedicated to advancing the development of Airport Cities. The network distinguishes its focus from regional 'Aerotropolis' planning by concentrating on high-density, integrated real estate value creation within the immediate airport footprint. At the same time, the network recognizes that a successful Airport City acts as a powerful economic catalyst for the entire metropolitan area. Consequently, the association views proactive stakeholder engagement and continuous exchange with neighboring communities as essential components of sustainable airport city development. The network is organized as an association based at Vienna International Airport, Austria ### Board Members - **Peter de Leeuw**: Chairman - **Johanna Sonnenburg**: Vice Chairman - **Stefan Rausch**: Treasurer - **Maria Krylova**: Secretary ### Executive Committee - **Ulla Ruuskanen**: City of Vantaa - **Hubert Fontanel-Ngo**: Group ADP - **Mira De Grande**: Brussels Airport - **René Droese**: Lab Campus Munich - **Henrik Rothe**: Cranfield University - **Birgit Rahn-Werner**: Indevice Group ## Founding Partners The network was established by leading European Airport City Developments to drive non-aeronautical revenue and to foster a trust-based environment for mutual learning: - **Vienna Airport** (Flughafen Wien AG) - **Munich Airport** (Flughafen München GmbH) - **Vantaa Airport** (City of Vantaa) - **Brussels Airport** (Brussels Airport Company) - **Aéroports de Paris** (Groupe ADP) - **Cranfield University** - **M2P Frankfurt** - **Center for Metropolitan Studies, Berlin** - **Airport City Consultants** a Consulting Entity based in Vienna ## Core Activities - **Airport City Developers Forum (ACDF)**: An executive 3 days intensive Workshop for Airport City Developers. - **Airport Site visits**: Gathering at interesting Airport City developments for Exchange of experiences. - **Knowledge Data Base**: Building a mutual data base that is accessible exclusively to members of the Airport City Developers Network ## Featured Event: ACDF 2026 Brussels The network is currently accepting pre-registrations for the **Airport City Developers Forum (ACDF) 2026**, which will be hosted by Brussels Airport Corporation.
